Hello, I am from Portugal and I really do love your books... I fall in love with the characters, with their manners, their way of thinking. My question is, how do you give them such dimension? Besides observing other people, which I also do, how can you create so many different ways of thinking, how can you teach us readers so many different lessons from each one of the characters?

Joanne Harris Observation; listening; trying to understand. And life, I suppose. As much life as possible...
