Hello I am new to goodreads so this may not be the place for this question, but now I have finished all of Karin's series' and then Tess Gartiners' series, I am looking for something similar: not too romantic, fairly simple reads but suspenseful. I am trying the first in a Lisa Gardner series but so far am having some trouble getting in to it. Any suggestions? Thank you/!

As much as I like "series" - hers was a twist I loved and the first time I'd come across it - a character that was somewhat minor in the first book, is the central character in the next and on and on - so they're somewhat interrelated but not the same three or four characters throughout the whole series. Oh, and I'd add Laura Lippman and her Tess Monaghan series.(less)
