Can anyone tell me why the title of the book changed from The Seamstress to The Time In Between? (or visa versa, I'm not sure which title is the original one).

It´s as close a translation as possible. Some things are idiomatic, and don´t translate perfectly, but this is pretty close.
I´m just starting it, but have a feeling that this guy she´s followed is going to run off with her money and jewels, and that it refers to the time she´ll spend figuring out how to survive.

No clue as to why the English translation changed titles. Maybe the author got in touch with the publisher. I notice that the edition entitled ¨¨The Seamstress¨ doesn´t mention the translator´s name.(less)
