I've plowed through the first two books in a matter of days ( because life got in the way). Pierce Brown really knows how to just stick it to his readers in both a good and bad way. The only thing that could really be considered a turn off is the genre. The writing is phenomenal and the characters are so unpredictable (mostly). You love characters he wants you to hate when you realize their role in the story line. And the plot twists are just....they make you feel sooo good. No. It is not over hyped by any means.(less)
