Don't take this the wrong way, it's just a question. Red Rising is an "Over hyped" book I avoid because I have been a victim of hype several times. Not only that, but from other reviewers, Darrow is a bit of a Gary-Stu. He's perfect. While the premise for the trilogy is interesting, I am very apprehensive about reading it. Should I? Or do I just not read it?

Pierce Brown has done a fantastic job creating a plausible break from reality, completely absorbing. Give it a go! Sheath the protection of your paranoia and ease into it as you would a warm tub after a day of wood cutting or other hard, physical, labor, and find yourself suspended in a reality where you can, and do, hope for the best with every fiber, and, live with the result.
