Robin, One of the wonderful things about the original Poldark series was all the attention to little details. I'm fascinated with Cornish food. In one episode Demelza was serving a Stargazy pie. I don't think it fits into your cookbooks now, but did you ever eat any of the food in the series. the pasties looked wonderful. How was that pie?

I don't remember having to eat the pie, Mary! Pilchards and sardines are a favourite food though, so it might not have been so bad, No pastry now for me. I cook sat=rdines often in the summer here--love 'em!

Hi Robin, I was brought up in the 70's watching your Poldark and rewatched when repeated in the 80's. I'm so pleased that you are part of the current Poldark and am loving the way you are playing the exasperated Rev. Halse. The BBC are obviously throwing a lot of money at the current production and I was wondering how 'big budget' the original series was considered at the time?
