Can anyone tell me about this book's appropriateness for middle schoolers? Is there anything (profanity, sex, etc.) that might give parents cause for concern?

A young man with a dream, during such an interesting time, from an interesting town, with an interesting family. We watched October Sky to give our middle schooler a feel for the basis. After that, he was excited to read it. Mild innuendos, but my kid is in middle school and hears much worse at school!(less)
