What was the point of the fish and leeches falling from the sky?? Are they symbolic for something? I have so many unanswered questions and I would love to discuss the book with someone!! Reply if you'd be interested? :-)

On the other hand, there have been reports over the past several decades of fish, crabs etc falling from the sky, often as a result of hurricanes, tropical storms or tornadoes transporting them long distances and then dumping the load. As for "the point"--this is, after all, Murakami. His point may well be just to be obscure.(less)
