Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

David R. Phillips We have a cat named Gizmo. One of the things my wife and I started doing was giving hi ma personality. We made up a whole back story, as well as a voice that when we use it we pretend it is Gizmo talking.

One night while we were in bed he did something and my wife yelled at him. Without thinking I said in Gizmo's voice, "Those Damn Gnomes did it." Of course my wife had never heard me say that word be for. She was shocked. She then asked me why I said Gnomes. I told her Gnomes were not to be trusted. And that was the start of the book I am currently working on, working title Gnome Oligarchy.
