Anne Schilde
Anne Schilde asked Isabel Allende:

I often feel compelled to share fictional details of uncomfortable events that hit close to real life. People have angrily refused to read me, even publicly raged at me, because of content involving rape or other physical abuse. It's hard for me to separate those people from those who castigate victims for speaking out. How have you dealt with the anger you certainly must feel over that kind of backlash?

Isabel Allende I don’t deal with it, I keep on walking my path. I have millions of loyal readers, but sometimes I get very hard criticism from reviewers. I write without thinking of the readers or the negative reviews. If I am compelled to tell a story, nothing can really stop me.
