No. I'm so angry I wasted my life on this book. Mainly because the author molested her own child for years and protected her pedophile husband before he was caught, convicted, and imprisoned.

Why not? The book is so boring they won´t go beyond page 10.

Yes. But anyone younger than 13 shouldnt read this.

No. I read it at 12, and was completely unable to grasp all the nuances of the depictions of sexuality, religious sexual rites, sexual repression and child marriage. College is the youngest I would say someone could read it and not have most of the content go over your head. When I reread it at 30 my mind was blown by how much I completely misunderstood.

I think it is appropriate for any one who can appreciate good literature. There is nothing in it that would make it unsuitable. It is rather long so maybe a young person might not have the attention span. I personally loved this book and felt as if the characters were old friends.
