I don't know whether there are an special schemes to handle these. I'd for myself simply give in. Leave it alone until the work speaks to me. No one put me on contract so I was always free to abandon the thing. So I simply threw in the towel. Go on to something else; like another piece of writing, until another block here. Do the same again or listen to that call. Hey, come back here! You have a story to tell, old boy: my story beckoned the heroin of my first story.
By Readiness of my first book, I was also halfway through my second. A two months break and this second finished in another month and I'm now near finished #3.
