Hello! I am curious to know if you have anyone a actor, model, or etc. that you picture for Tarn or Alagard? It is always interesting really seeing how the author visualizes their characters :)

Oddly enough, given how clearly I see the settings of my books, I don't always have a completely clear image of my characters. I know with absolute certainty what parts of their appearance look like (Tarn's hair!) but I don't always have an overall picture. That said, I very rarely find reference pictures that look quite right. With actors, I find it hard to see past the roles I've seen them in, and the models never quite fit my sense of the character. Luckily, Catt Ford, who did the cover art for both Reawakening books and Lord Heliodor's Retirement, always manages to take my vague ramblings about visual details and not only find the right face but also create something extraordinary. I've seen the first draft of the Resistance cover, which shows Iskandir's face, and it's breathtaking.

I just finished a Frost of Cares and it was amazing! It's the first contemporary book of yours that I've read and I'm still giddy over how much I loved it. Now for the question - will you be attending the UK Meet again this year? I'd love to get autographed copies of the Reawakening series as well as Frost of Cares and I never seem to get to your table early enough. Is there any chance I could reserve copies?
