As a child, I loved to read and very early on it occurred to me that it would really be fun to be the person who wrote the book, rather than the one reading it. From that point on, I wanted to be a writer and I ultimately chose a career as a college professor that would enable me to write as a part of the job. After writing non-fiction for a number of years, I decided to try my hand at crime novels and so left teaching to pursue that objective.

Have you read any of Jonathan Dunsky's books? The main character is a PI holocaust survivor from Hungary who spent time in Auschwitz. The series takes place in Tel Aviv in the early 1950s.
