There are no "inappropriate" themes, if that's what you're asking, so I guess it's ok for anyone above the age of 12 or 13. However, it's not typical YA - there are 5 POVs in the series (4 in book one) and only two of the POV characters are teenagers, other 3 are adults. I think the series can be enjoyed by the readers of both YA and adult fantasy :)(less)
