Horror's Greatest Hits

Hi Goodreaders! I'm a Stephen King fan so naturally, I was drawn to Dean Koontz books. However, it seems some of his books have an element of evil/horror that may have me not being able to sleep at night. Can someone recommend me a Koontz novel that is a good thriller/suspense; but less on the horror/evil side? Maybe more like Stehpen KIng's 'Misery', 'Christine', 'Cell'. Hope someone can help me!

I especially love the ones he has a Golden Retriever staring. Watchers is one I especially liked. The Odd series by DK is a little scary, but very different - and still the humor. I hope you've found one you like, and will move on thru his books. (less)
