Horror's Greatest Hits

Hi Goodreaders! I'm a Stephen King fan so naturally, I was drawn to Dean Koontz books. However, it seems some of his books have an element of evil/horror that may have me not being able to sleep at night. Can someone recommend me a Koontz novel that is a good thriller/suspense; but less on the horror/evil side? Maybe more like Stehpen KIng's 'Misery', 'Christine', 'Cell'. Hope someone can help me!

Its not all monsters and horror, but it has that scary edge that makes it a true horror story. I love King, but more often than not, he adds way too much detail. Koontz gets right to the heart of the story!! Happy reading!!(less)
