Goodreads asked Lisa M. Prysock:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lisa M. Prysock Recently my mom came to live near me in Kentucky from another state. It has really been awesome to have this time to reconnect with her and to see her getting to know her grandchildren. This event really seemed to inspire me as I wrote this story. Family relationships are so important. I wanted this book to reflect kindness, love, forgiveness, restoration and redemption... all themes which are so vital in our lives and relationships. In the real story of Ruth and Boaz, every single character behaved with kindness toward each other. I wrote this book with all of this deeply on my heart and mind. Kindness is something hard to find but we know from reading God's word that it is of great value in His eyes. It is terribly overlooked and underestimated in our busy, fast paced and modern lives. It starts with each of us, in our very own homes and in the lives of those we connect with on a daily basis within our community.
