Am I the only one who thinks Watson just doesn't carry it off at all (writing from a female perspective?) did any of you realise the author is male? Some others have mentioned this too - the pace is farrrrrrr tooooooo slooooow!

He spends a lot of time talking about her physically in a way I don't think women think of themselves. Same with when she touches herself just before going on the weekend away. I did think, however, that the close relationship with Claire that eventually got strained was a fairly good representation of a female friendship.(less)
