No. It doesn't really have much of a plot and...honestly...if you want a quick heartwarming story about family then yes.

Honestly, this one had an interesting premise that was poorly executed. The main character's voice and point-of-view were highly inconsistent. (How can she marvel at a toilet and a clothes hanger yet use and understand a variety of English idioms?) I much prefer the similarly-premised Room by Emma Donaghue.
