I started reading this book randomly (downloaded it in a bundle). It really exceeded my expectation (even though there was none). The book really stands out from the several books with female leads I'd read previously and recently. Compared to Petals in the wind, which is also revolves around a children deprived during their childhood, this one is also way better.

Thank you Mrs Murdoch for making this book. This book is so inspiring. This book was the best book that I have ever read. Best book ever! I can always imagine Carey and Jenessa in the Hundred Acre Woods. I always wondered what Nessa looked like?

YteWabbit There are a few places in the book where Carey gives descriptions of Nessa. One of them was that she had blonde curly hair.
