An idea will just pop out at me and I have to write it down before anything else. I like to write in scenes. Not linearly. I like to write the middle of a story first, then write the ending, and finally write the beginning. Sometimes a scene just comes to mind and I realize that's what I will be writing today. Eventually it all gets linked together.
