How do you deal with writer’s block?

Rival Gates Writer's Block was never a problem for me until I started having deadlines. Then I could no longer sit back and wait for the inspiration to come. If it's an ongoing project I read up to where I left off and then my mind usually continues the story from there. It's harder when it's a totally new project. In those cases I go somewhere completely quiet where there are no distractions and let my mind wander around the subject. Often times my best ideas come right before falling asleep when all the lights are out and I can just concentrate on the issue.
