Hi Paul!
I haven't seen the script yet, but there's a clause in my contract that allows me to veto any element that is too far outside the main story. I always tell people that if pirates, dinosaurs, or aliens suddenly appear, I'll be speaking up.
I think the script is in good hands with Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, and I trust that they'll remain as true to the book as they can. My fingers are crossed that MGM continues to move forward with the project. :)

Hello! I just finished The Girl He Used to Know! Wow. Amazing. I am just wondering if you modeled the Annika character after someone with ASD or Fragile X Syndrome? It was interesting to me that her Dad had some of the same tendencies, common in a Father that carries the Fragile X gene. Your research and the details were so descriptive! Thank you for writing this book. It really touched me.
