Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

R.A. Carter-Squire My recently published book came from an incident in my own childhood. I wanted to tell that story, but the characters strolled off into another direction. No matter how well you plan the story you start to write, there will always be other ideas along the way. How you chose to deal with those side trips is up to you, but they will always be there waiting for you to come back to visit and explore.
