I practically gobbled up your Wardstone Chronicles books, and they are absolute favourites, so creepily atmospheric and with characters I cannot imagine I will ever forget. I was thus thrilled to learn about A New Darkness, which was as compulsively readable as the other books. Will it be the first in a series, and, if not (hopefully!), when will the sequel appear? Yes A New Darkness is the first in a trilogy. The second book (which still has no title, although I am currently considering The Earth Witch or The Final Winter) is out in Feb/march 2016. It had to make way for the film.
