Have you read the other Alpha & Omega books? I've enjoyed the Mercy Thompson books, but my one friend who read both series didn't care for this one.

I like both series, though I think I may like Alpha & Omega a little more. It depends on what you like. A&O is more romance-centered than Mercy Thompson, but it still has a lot of action and mystery to it. A&O also gives more depth to the world as it spends a lot of up-close-and-personal time with fae and witches; you get a lot in Mercy's series, but I think it gives even more in this one.

The main complaint I've heard about A&O series is that they don't care for the heroine. When the series starts out, she's been abused and tortured by her packmates, so she's very insecure and frightened.(less)
