Goodreads asked Hélène Louise:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Hélène Louise In fact I actually don't suffered much of reader block, but much from reader-lack-of-quality-free-time!
Still, I have a very useful habit: I never sit down writing my current story if I don't know what will happen next. To manage that I have three tricks: Firstly I think a lot about my characters and my story (stories in fact!) during the day, while falling asleep, driving, tending the house... I 'write' the following of the story this way, in my head first, so when I sit down facing my computer I know what to tell.
Secondly, I try to stop writing while knowing what the next scene is going to be, keeping some matter for the next writing session.
Thirdly, when I come up with a problem, something to resolve or to find, I take it like a bone to chew while - riding, walking, peeling vegetables, swimming (swimming's great!). I find much easier to think when I'm moving in some automatic way.
