I love working from home (or a favorite coffee shop) and setting my own hours. Even though I work long days 6 days a week, I often feel like I'm on vacation. I also love that I get to "play" creatively as a writer. The things I did for pure fun as a kid—creating worlds in my head, talking to myself, play-acting, decorating imaginary houses, being clever and witty at the exact right moment—I get to do all those for pay now!

I am reading my first book by you, Another Way Home. I was given an ebook from netgalley.com. I couldn't believe it when I saw you had written about my hometown and where I still live (30 mins. away to this day!). What made you choose Cape Girardeau MO? BTW- I am loving this book and you are a new favorite author of mine!
