Don't really have one. I mean, I met Ben Edlund once at San Diego Comic-Con, but that's it.
The way it works with tie-in fiction is as follows: the author deals with the editor. The editor deals with the licensing department at the studio. Sometimes, the licensing department will deal with the writing staff, but not always.
As it happens, I do know that Eric Kripke read and approved BONE KEY his own self, but that was due to circumstance: I turned in the manuscript when the writer's strike hit, so Kripke literally had nothing better to do, so he read it himself. After that novel, all the SUPERNATURAL novels were approved by his assistant rather than the licensing department at Warner Bros.
But I have no direct relationship with the show's writers. There are some shows where I do have relationships with the writers -- FARSCAPE and LEVERAGE are two examples, the former because I got to work with Rockne O'Bannon on the comic book, the latter because I was already friends with a couple of writers before the show started -- but SUPERNATURAL is not one of them.....

i guess i just wanted to say thank you for being for writing the closest thing i got to a new leverage episode with the zoo job. your characterization was so on point, i could actually feel the crew comiing to life and i think your novel was actually the best of the three out there. now i'm curious about your other works, so from all you books, what is your favorite one?

I'm just wondering because it's been bugging me for years. Why is it that the fourth movie book in the Resident Evil series skipped and then Retribution written by John Shirley? I've purposely not read Retribution because of there not being An Afterlife novel. By the way your books were much more enjoyable than their movie counterparts.
