Allison actually when they are all at maha's hut, winter is cleaning and humming (like snow white) so in that respect, they are kind of like the dwarves! They later go off and leave winter alone, again a similarity with the dwarves leaving snow white alone, I believe. So yes in a way they are the dwarves, but they also represent the other characters in other fairy tales(less)
