NO! Cinder is Cinderella, Kai is the Cinderella Prince, Cress is Rapunzel, Thorne is Eugene (Tangled) or the prince that saves Rapunzel from the tower, Scarlet is Red Riding Hood, Wolf is the wolf in Red Riding Hood and Iko does not belong to any of these fairy tail but she is... the most cool and beautiful android in New Beijing! The only characters from Snow White are Jacin (Prince Charming), Winter (Snow White)and Levana (The Evil Queen, the fairest of them all)
Oh, and NO!, EVEN IF WINTER IS BASED OFF FROM SNOW WHITE IT DOESNT MEAN THE OTHER CHARACTERS ARE THE 7 DWARFS, DONT YOU DARE DEMEAN AND DEGRADE THEM LIKE THAT! Sorry, I love the Lunar Chronicles and I just want other people to respect them as I do. I am a full time fangirl, if you are one too, you will understand the pain of disrespectfulness to our fandoms. Dont feel offended!

I thought the reference to the seven people that died of leutmosis in the lumber sector where Winter was infected were the "seven dwarfs"

actually when they are all at maha's hut, winter is cleaning and humming (like snow white) so in that respect, they are kind of like the dwarves! They later go off and leave winter alone, again a similarity with the dwarves leaving snow white alone, I believe. So yes in a way they are the dwarves, but they also represent the other characters in other fairy tales
Emily
YESSS!!!!! That could actually be because they all help Winter right? It doesn't mean they are literally dwarfs. And they do all have their own stories but they can be "dwarfs" as well becuase Scarlet and Wolf are also Beauty and the Beast
Aditya De
I think the wolves she recruits represent the dwarfs. Jacin is not prince charming. He is the "huntsman" who lets her go.

So, who would be dopey?

Thought of that too. But I realized that there are absolutely no dwarfs in the series. Just wolves.
Nikolae Keaveney
You are a genius!!!!!!
In WINTER, they are the seven dwarves.
But they are all the other characters in their stories.
EX. Scarlet is a dwarf in Winter, but she is little red riding hood in Scarlet.
Bless you

... and Jacin is Prince Charming :D /s

No because they all have their own stories. Cinder, Kai, and Iko are from Cinderella; Thorne and Cress are from Rapunzel; Wolf and Scarlet are from Red Riding Hood
Saada
I think its the genetically modified soldiers helped her out I could be wrong
Estela Pabalan
That's smart but not true (:
Coralie
I had this thought too! I love how the characters easily double and the tales cross over!
Abby Mzzz
Wowwwwwwwwwwwww. You just blew my mind !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ariel
I think in a way they could be. I could totally see Meyer's doing something number wise with them intentionally. Meyer's was flawless with her execution of combining the stories.
Jen
omg I never saw it this way, it sounds pretty accurate!!!
Samia
I read that the author specifically had seven characters in Maha's hut with Winter to represent the seven dwarves.
Christy
I love this. We read Cinder in a book club and tried to see how all the people connected and were characters from the original story. This is a great theory!! Of course each of those characters have their own stories but they could totally be the 'dwarfs' or the people helping Winter. I think it is a great tie in to the story! Well done.

Wouldn't Iko be like one of Cinderella's animal friends? That how I always imagined her, and felt she was supposes to be.
A. Wolfert
Not exactly.....
Crimson Kelbo
This was perfectly planned
Audrey
I thought that too, until I read the book.

Makes sense . . . Or maybe we'll be introduced to new characters that could play the seven dwarfs. Idk :\ ur very observant!
roctopus
Cute concept, but that is not what happens.
Hannah's Peanuts
woah oh my god I didn't even realize this until now!!!! holy frick!!!!! marissa meyer is a genius
Lihn Cinder
I do think that Iko belongs to the fairy tales. Iko saved Peony's dress, which Cinder wore to the ball, and Iko saved Cinder's old foot, which Cinder also took to the ball with her, since her new foot had been taken by Adri. In a way, Iko was Cinder's Fairy Godmother. :)

I've given this similar thought! If you mean they are the ones that shelter her after she runs away, then yes!
Moon Light Amethyst
I see Iko for some reason as Pinocchio a fake girl wanting soooo much to be real...ish
Carly McCunn
When you read the book you will see that the bioengineered soldiers act as the dwarfs.
Cassie
Oooohhhh... I like that interpretation. I think it's mostly coincidental that the numbers match up, but I don't see why the characters couldn't also stand as the dwarves and the fairytale characters they represent.
Grace
I think so. I had that same thought going into Part 3 in Winter.
Athena Ivashkova ~♥~
Aside Cress, Every single character is super tall lolol
Annisa Suci Nurfarah
Lol. Let me laughing for a while.
I don;t think so. Because for me, every character has it role in this story

No... But that's a pretty funny idea... LOL! XD
Klaudia Sośnica
I thought about it too! But I think Marissa Meyer just wanted to do a loose follow-up. She included the number, but she did not think of them as dwarfs.
TYR
Um, not to be a party pooper, but Fairest (book 3.5) is already about Snow White.

Oh my god...that is freakin' amazing...
