How do you get inspired to write?

M.N. Henschen It's really rather embarrassing, but when I want to write, I typically turn on music that fits the mood of what I'd like to write, and I act out the scenes in my head. More often than not, I wait until I'm in the shower or alone in the car and go so far as acting the scene out loud as though I'm a character. I'm still waiting for the day that someone walks in the bathroom unannounced and catches me in the process. Haha!
