The greatest thing is probably the ability to use something I love and am passionate about in a professional way. I have so much freedom in my work, and I never feel tied to it like I did with "normal" jobs.

I don't. HA! I'm terrible, really. If I've got a block, I either go play with my babies, or I go to a different writing project if I'm just desperate for some creative work.

Do it. Just do it. The only thing you'll ever regret when writing is if you don't give it your all. You can always improve, but you might not need as much as you think. You are your own worst critic, and you can't let your doubts hold you back from achieving your dreams.

It's really rather embarrassing, but when I want to write, I typically turn on music that fits the mood of what I'd like to write, and I act out the scenes in my head. More often than not, I wait until I'm in the shower or alone in the car and go so far as acting the scene out loud as though I'm a character. I'm still waiting for the day that someone walks in the bathroom unannounced and catches me in the process. Haha!

My best friend, Taylor, is a very interesting person. At the time I started writing Line of Kavanagh in 2008, he was a professional magician and more than a little bit of a kleptomaniac. I was thinking about him one day, and I thought, "He would make a fantastic character in a book. Too bad there won't be a book about him." After thinking a little longer, it occurred to me that I could write a story for him! And so, I did.
