Goodreads asked Ceet:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Ceet Since I' am still an aspiring writer myself It feels weird giving advice, but there are a few things I've learned since embarking on this journey. (In no particular order.)

1. Stay Independent - In my opinion it's a waste of time trying to convince a publisher that your work is good when you can give it directly to the people and let them decide.

2. Write what you know - This one should be obvious.

3. Trust your voice - One of my biggest criticisms to date is my use of slang/ghetto/broken street grammar, but my main goal is always to write the story exactly how it comes to me, even if that means bad grammar.

There's a lot more things I could add but I have other things to do today... I'll come back to this later.
