How did you come up with the idea for the Magnets repelling ghosts in the M.J. books? I find that endlessly fascinating to even think about, as a member of a paranormal investigation team, it makes me giggle every time. Also, Gilly is a hoot as a character, and I am so glad you've made him have redeeming qualities, and not be TOTALLY self absorbed. He is very like Cat in that way. LOL!

Hi Cat! (Great name, by the way!) ;)
You know, that's a great question! I'm pretty sure that somewhere along the way about 15 or 20 years ago I heard about or read about magnets having an effect on a spook's energy, but I'm hard pressed to remember the source. I do know that I valued the advice, because I started keeping a few extra magnets on hand every time I moved to a new apartment or home, you know, just to be super duper sure nothing started going thump in the night. ;)
And thank you for loving Gilley. He takes a lot of flack for being the fabulously flawed man that he is, and it irks me when people say unkind things about him. All of his neuroses and flaws are put there on purpose; he's supposed to drive everybody a little crazy! :) And, as he's based on two very dear friends of mine, when someone as kind as you gives him a public shoutout it makes me feel all warm inside. Thank you for understanding him as a funny and necessary character. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! :)

Hi Victoria! I am a huge fan of the Ghost Hunter series as well as the Psychic Eye series. I hadn't cracked one open in awhile and now I can't put them down. I am sure you can relate to both Abby and M.J but who do relate to the most? I love them both, but I think M.J is my fave. :-) Thanks, Mandy

Hi, V. Read your acknowledgments in S of D. Tomorrow morning, we are taking our 15 y.o. Beagle, Fox, to be put to sleep after months of declining health. So we let him eat his favorite no-no treat (canned cat food), we loved on him, cried over him & we'll say goodbye in the AM. Maybe he will give Lilly some big, wet, sloppy kisses at the start of his new journey? From one furbaby momma to another, Hugs, Rebecca
