Goodreads asked Narrelle M. Harris:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Narrelle M. Harris Write. Write write write write write. Start and continue and finish, and write some more. Write through your hesitation, write through your fear that it's all rubbish, write through clunky sentences and write through word-constipation. Writers are lucky because we can edit what we've written to be better - but you can't edit a blank page. And you should write and write and write because muscles get stronger and more limber through use. We improve and improve and improve because we practise and DO. So, even if you can only do a hundred words a day, write those hundred, and keep on writing until it's done.
