Goodreads asked Edna Stewart:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Edna Stewart The way how I deal with writer's block is: "God, what are you trying to tell me?" ...mostly I open the window at home in my office, look at the paintings on the wall, then, I go outside to the garden and sit there for awhile...And if it's in the summer, I take off to the beach which is just 10 minutes away.

I escape, go cycle on my bike for a while, go out and enjoy people and talk to them, escape. I get a kick out of my garden and when I finish, I sit on the back deck with the dogs, watch the chickens run around and listen to Zumba music, music of the 70's and 80's

. Then, I go and be of service to people, whether its a smile, a good laugh or a great party!...I truly found out that if I love myself, I can get through writer's block. I'm here to serve people and not me. Overall, get away from writing, go do something different, and I'll bet you'll find your next book to write.

I love you all,
Edna
