I've read all your books and liked all of them very much. Have you ever been tempted to write a book about a post WW2 subject?
Erik Larson
I've considered a number of post-WWII subjects, but somehow none has ever gotten me sufficiently engaged to attempt a book. Not sure why.

I read your response to the question about structuring your narrative and I have slightly different question. From reading THE DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY and THUNDERSTRUCK, I take it that you leave it up to the reader to make sort out the juxtaposition of good and evil and, more significantly, the implications. My question is which motivates you most in putting the narrative together, the evil or the good?

Your writing and research merges together so well in your Books. I just finished "Dead Wake" and I Was impressed with how you built tension In a story, when readers already knew the outcome. It was the first Time I have read a book, admired how it Was crafted and thought about how it was Edited. Would you comment on the editing process For Dead Wake?
