Why is the title of the thirteenth book 'Thirteen'? I'm assuming it's for some reason other than that it's the series number of the book?

Kelley Armstrong Nope. Don't expect titles to have any special significance. They're usually chosen by publishers and picked for various reasons, which may have little to do with the contents. For example, Broken :)
