I actually published contemporary romance years and years ago. It's a genre I love to read and write and I had an idea I couldn't walk away from.
The Original Heartbreakers series came about because I wanted to write about bad boys with traumatic pasts who have the same brotherly bond found in my Lords of the Underworld series -- and yet, I wanted these men to be ones I could truly meet. I wanted to write sassy Southern belles (kinda like the girls in my life) and a quirky small town I wished I lived. I wanted dark and gritty but also sexy and witty. I hope I delivered!

How do you determine the levels of technology, the buildings/structures, the costumes, the cultures, the interactions between paranormal creatures?
