How do you get inspired to write?

K.C. Cairn For me, inspiration, or the compulsion to write comes from knowing what's ahead of my characters, knowing how they will be moved or changed by what's ahead and being excited to get their journey down on "paper." If I talk out a story with someone, the motivation to write disappears; the story has been told.
