Sorry for the delay in my reply - I was in the UK on a book tour for the last three weeks! As for Valek's age, it depends on which book you are reading - in POISON STUDY he's 33 years old and in SHADOW STUDY he's 41 since it takes place 8 years later.

Hi Maria! Big fan of your books!! I was reading Truthwitch (also enjoyed!) by Susan Dennard and noticed that there was a comment made by you on the book..... and it sort of inspired my question. Do you as an author have a large amount of friends who are authors...?? and if so, do you read/edit one anothers novels?? (a bad example but like people who work in an office are often friends with people who they work with)

I've just started Shadow Study after loving the original Study trilogy! A friend said that it would be better to read the Glass trilogy before reading Shadow Study to gain a lot more context. Would you recommend reading the Glass books before the newer additions to the Ixia series?
