Betty Mermelstein
Betty Mermelstein asked Erik Larson:

Was there a particular character in Devil in the White City that you sympathized with the most?

Erik Larson Yes: Olmsted. I don't think he ever had an unoriginal thought.

Robert Jones
Robert Jones asked Erik Larson:

Is Devil in the White City going to be made into a movie? I hope...

Bartholomew Timm
Bartholomew Timm asked Erik Larson:

I've read all your books, and am looking forward to this new one, but I suspect not everything you've written has been successfully converted to a book. What is your favorite "failure"? Do you ever consider going back to something once you've given it up? How do you select your titles?

Kate D
Kate D asked Erik Larson:

Just read your vibrant PowellsBooks.com interview with book buyer Rhianna Walton. I loved "Devil in the White City", and can't wait to read "Dead Wake". As a youngish female, I don't have many friends who have discovered your awesome writing. How do you generally relate to your readers like me, and can we expect a can't-miss book topic from you in the future? Not that WWI is unrelatable...
