Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Gary James My most recent book Black Politics 2.0 was inspired by my experiences as a grassroots community organizer on staff of the National Welfare Rights Organizer (NWRO) during the civil rights period; as well as my experience as a political activist in electoral politics, during the 1980’s to date. It is my considered judgment that the popular political narrative particularly as it relates to the African American community is a deception, primarily because the organic political leaders have been marginalized. They are marginalized by way of the accepted civil rights leadership orthodoxy, elected and un-elected.
