Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Caroline Mitchell My first fiction novel 'Deadly Suspect' is due to be released in March 2015. As a police detective I have lots of experience dealing with criminals and the delights of spending hours in custody! Given our recent experiences with the paranormal, as written in Paranormal Intruder, it made sense to combine both experiences and use them to write my next series, featuring DC Jennifer Knight. The novels are based mainly on crime, and feature a supernatural twist. I believe it will appeal to a wide audience and I'm really looking forward to its release.

Hello, I haven't read your books yet, but they are on my TBR list. I love mystery thriller books and these seem right up my alley. Anyways, on your DI Amy Winters series, do the books need to be read all in order or can they be read as standalones?
