How did you feel about the Ella Enchanted movie? I saw it recently and wasn't happy with it. It felt more like a parody than a genuine fairytale.

The movie's humor is definitely broader than the book's. Of course I prefer the book, but I like the movie, and it's brought me many readers, so I'm grateful!

I met Ella Enchanted in 7th grade and wore the book out to the point it fell apart, When I was old enough I bought it for myself, and I read it every few years, just as fresh and just as fun every time I read it. Do you think you will ever write another fairy tale more like that?
