Why a new series for Maisie Dobbs and not just a continuation of the other one?

Jacqueline Winspear It's both, really. As you will see, A DANGEROUS PLACE moves forward in time, but not just that - with future books it will be clear that some aspects of Maisie's work have changed. It's a new chapter in her life, so I saw it as something of a departure, though you will be reacquainted with known characters and others encountered only once or twice in previous books, who emerge with more prominence. And there's the odd character who was always bound to reappear.
