Why is the such a time difference between book 7 and 8 in the Charlie Davidson series? The beginning of 8 seems to skip ahead several months. Is there an in between novel that cover this gap in time?

LOL because she was preggers and I wanted to skip to that point. It's funny because even with that almost 8 month time jump, all 13 books still only span one year in Charley's life. I had no idea until I researched it later.
