I just had to write to tell you how much I enjoyed Defiance and Annette in Betwixt. It's been a long time since I've read characters that I could actually envision being a part of my IRL circle of friends. Their interactions and commentary had me repeatedly laughing out loud, reminding me of literal convos had between myself and my friends. Thanks for making me laugh & smile a whole lot while reading this book!?

I love your books and your world building and your humor. I have so many questions about the Betwixt series but I love the surprises your books bring. My only question is, how in the world do you find time to keep so many series going, getting through chemo and the horrible things that alone entails, find time to stay in touch with your fans, and still put out such incredible work? Are you secretly superwoman? :)
Darynda Jones Ha! I wish!!! Thank you so so much! I'm working on book five in the Betwixt series right now. Should be out in a month or so. Unfortunately, I didn't get much writing done during chemo, but I'm all better now and writing like crazy! Must catch up! LOL

I just started the Betwixt series and am obsessed! I feel like you plucked my dreams out of my mind and put it to paper . Are there hardback or box sets for this series ?

Darynda Jones Hi Sandy! No more Sunshine books, sadly, barring a miracle film deal or something. She had one and it was well on its way to being produced when the higher-ups axed it. Grrrrr. Ah well. But Beep and Osh are coming! Very soon!

Not going to lie, I got real excited when I saw your comment about Charley being with Sony! Keep us updated? I'm a librarian and one of my co-workers and I read through the whole series a couple of years ago, but I think about the books all the time and thought I would listen to them again. I'm enjoying them just as much as the first time :)

Darynda Jones Thank you so much, Kari! Charley has sold to Hollywood several times. Right now she is with Sony. Fingers crossed!!! I'd love to see that too.

Darynda Jones Hi Coral! I actually have a kickstarter going right now for the Beep & Osh Trilogy, but they will be out later this year. The KS if for the limited collector's edition hardcovers (with really cool covers), but everything else will be available at various retailers.

I started reading The Monster in The NeverNeath series but didn’t find “the rest of the story” after part 4. An I missing something? With all you’ve had going on (according to the posts I’ve read) I hope you’re doing better and if there isn’t a Part 5 would maybe have a bit of time to finish the story please? Darynda Jones Mary thank you so much! I am doing better and am writing again. Soooo, The Monster is the ONLY story I ended up disliking. I think it just went in the wrong direction in part 5 and I just need to go back, throw that out, and start again. I absolutely love the opening. Like it's one of my all-time favs. But then it got too... IDK... High School Musical? LOL. I promise I will finish it. I will put that on my to-do list this year.

Why is the such a time difference between book 7 and 8 in the Charlie Davidson series? The beginning of 8 seems to skip ahead several months. Is there an in between novel that cover this gap in time?
Darynda Jones LOL because she was preggers and I wanted to skip to that point. It's funny because even with that almost 8 month time jump, all 13 books still only span one year in Charley's life. I had no idea until I researched it later.

I was wondering how many books are going to be in your betwixt and between series will there be a book 5? Loved this seieries love ur writting getting ready to start charley davidson series super excited.
Darynda Jones Thanks, Sarah! There will be 10 total. I had some health issues arise, but I'm doing much better and will hopefully have book five out in three or four months. Thanks again! Hope you like Charley and the gang!

Darynda Jones wow thanks, Lana! I just had a novella come out from 1001 Dark Nights called Graveyard Dog, And right now I'm working on the first in a new trilogy from St. Martin's called Rumor and Innuendo as well as the next Betwixt and then the Beep and Osh trilogy. All of that should be next year. Well, not Rumor just yet.

Darynda Jones I am!!! I am so behind. I've been dealing with health stuff but I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for writing! I hope to have a new Betwixt out early 2025.

Darynda Jones Thank you so much, Liaju! They do not take place in the same world. At first, I thought I might make it the same world, but there are a couple of conflicts with the world building, so I changed my mind.
